Pleural mesothelioma symptoms (lungs)
- Shortness of breath, sometimes even at rest
- Chest pain or tightness
- A persistent, dry cough
- Fatigue and unexplained weight loss
- Fluid buildup around the lungs (pleural effusion)
Peritoneal mesothelioma symptoms (abdomen)
- Abdominal swelling, pain, or bloating
- Changes in bowel habits
- Nausea and loss of appetite
- Unexplained weight loss
